Nearly 64 years since its doors first opened, the dates for the open house and rededication of the Hamilton New Zealand Temple are announced by the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The temple will be rededicated on Sunday, October 16, 2022, by Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

Entrance to the Hamilton New Zealand Temple and Grounds
The Hamilton New Zealand Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located in Temple View, Hamilton. It was opened along with the Church College of New Zealand, a large high school owned by the church, in the late 1950s. Both the college and the temple were built by labour missionaries. The school was closed in December 2009.

Last week, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that the Hamilton New Zealand Temple would be rededicated on 16 October 2022.
